Zoë Kuryakin was a Slayer born in 1934 and who was activated in New York City. She was called approximately in 1950 and was due to face her Cruciamentum in December 1952. During it she was to be set against a vampire Creighton Faust, who had been a Watcher in life. Her Watcher was Ian Sykes, a man so alienated from Zoë's beatnik lifestyle that he conspired with Faust so she wouldn't survive her Cruciamentum. Faust sired the weakened Slayer, who in turn dusted Faust and then turned on her Watcher. Rather than face eternity as one of those she was meant to destroy, she walked out into the morning sunrise just as the last of her soul slipped away.

Behind the Scenes[edit | edit source]

  • The fact that she was sired contradicts what was known about Yuki Makimura, who was said to be the only Slayer erased of the Slayer line as she was the only who was sired (although the fact that she died before she could actually do anything as a vampire may mean that she was never erased, as the Council felt that they could consider her having died after an accident in the Cruciamentum).
