While living together in San Francisco, Alexander Harris and Spike owned six cats.[1]
Biography[]
These cats were rescued by Spike from kitten poker at the demon bar Suppurating Sore Social Club. Despite saying he'd find a home for them in the following day,[1] the kittens grew into adult cats still living at Xander and Spike's apartment.[2]
The spirit of Anya was visible to them. When they tried to interact with her, she and Xander discovered she was real and not fruit of his mind.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
- Christos Gage has promised: "no cat will ever die in anything I write."[4]
- According to Gage, Xander and Spike "didn't keep all six, they adopted out some of them. I feel like they kept two of the cats, off the top of my head, but I can't recall what number Rebekah [Isaacs] settled on."[5]
