What You Want, Not What You Need, Part Four is the twenty-fourth issue of the Angel & Faith comic book series. Written by Christos Gage and illustrated by Rebekah Isaacs, it was originally published on July 31, 2013, by Dark Horse Comics.

Angel and Faith will need all the help they can get when it comes to stopping this season's ubervillains from unleashing a magic-fueled plague on the earth. Enter an archmage, a former Watcher, and two socialites who've dabbled in magic... Will it be enough?

  • Final Arc!
  • Battle to the death![1]

Whistler tells Pearl and Nash to retrieve the orb and spread the magic globally. Angel stays to fight Whistler while Faith goes after the twins. Giles takes a mutated woman to safety with Alasdair and instructs Lavinia and Sophronia to go back and find the sphere under the protection of the rune stones.

Trying to change Whistler's mind about releasing the plague, Angel grabs Whistler by his horns and forces him to look at the mutating citizens below them. He declares that what Whistler calls "necessary losses" means inflicting suffering on innocent people. Whistler regains his resolve and argues he has to go with his plan because there is no other way to save the Earth. Angel tells Whistler he did not try anything else and is just doing it because he needs a fix.

Nadira forces herself to stand up. Lavinia and Sophronia rally the confused townspeople and calm them down. While Pearl and Nash get sidetracked fighting Faith, Giles and Alasdair manage to get the plague ball. They come up with a plan to detonate the sphere themselves and absorb its power because of their history with magic. They each accept it might kill them and offer to do it alone, but they decide to try it together to increase their chance at survival.

Nash quickly snatches the plague ball and prepares to launch it globally. Nadira stabs him in the back, but Nash throws her aside. Faith takes the opportunity to finish him off and takes the orb of pure magic with her. Faith tries to get the pure magic to heal an unconscious Nadira, but Giles and Alasdair explain it's likely impossible and their time is running out. Faith hands them the magic orb so they can complete their plan.

Whistler suddenly attacks Faith and takes the plague ball. He decides to spread it globally himself, only for Angel to grab his wrist. Angel remembers Whistler always says it's the big moments that show who you are, and he adds that now it's time to find out.
