Dawn's art teacher was a teacher in Sunnydale.
She taught an an art class attended by Dawn Summers, Lisa, and Kevin Berman, among others. The day Joyce Summers died, she asked the class to draw the "negative space" around a statue. When Buffy Summers arrived and interrupted the class to talk to Dawn, the teacher quickly realized that something was amiss. Her suspicions were confirmed as she watched Dawn fall to pieces after learning about her mother's death.
