An unidentified monk member of the Order of Dagon was charged was to protect the Key after performing the Key embodiment ritual.
Biography[edit | edit source]
In 2000, the monastery, based in the Czech Republic, was invaded by Glorificus. Only him survive and made his way to Sunnydale to inform Buffy Summers of the mission she had been entrusted with. However, he was captured, tortured, and interrogated by Glorificus. He was saved by Buffy and revealed Dawn Summers' true nature, although he soon eventually died due to fatal wounds.[1]

- Unidentified in the series, he was simply credited as "Monk."
- In the original teleplay for "No Place Like Home," the monk was introduced as: "not the old one, not the young one, but the surviving one."[2]
