An unidentified Slayer was active in Japan during the 16th Century. She used a katana while fighting a group of katana-wielding vampires in a bamboo forest.[1]

Behind the scenes

  • She was one of the Slayers created for the "Chosen One" variant covers in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer (2019) comic series.
  • *This Slayer is slated to have a story included in the upcoming "The Chosen Ones" graphic novel
  • She is the ninth Japanese Slayer to be introduced in the Buffyverse, following Kishi Minomoto, Kishi Minomoto's predecessor, Yuki Makimura, Mariko, an unidentified Slayer, Aiko, Ayumi, and another unidentified Slayer.
  • This Slayer is active in Japan during the 16th Century AD (1501-1600); during the Sengoku Period (1467-1600 AD) this is a period of Japanese history called the "Age of Warring States" and was marked by social upheaval, political intrigue and near-constant military conflict.
