A "triumvirate of suffering and despair" was how General Gregor, leader of the Knights of Byzantium, referred to the trio of deities that included Glorificus and ruled a dimension of "unspeakable torment."[1]
History[]
The three deities originally ruled with equal authority, but, at some point, Glory's powers and lust for pain and misery grew over the other two. Fearing Glory would try to seize the dimension for herself, the two turned on her and struck first.[1]
The war spanned a thousand years, and the two gods managed to stand victorious over Glory, though barely. They banished her from their dimension to the lower Earthly plane, forced to live and ultimately die trapped within the body of a mortal, a newborn male created as her prison.[1]
