The Transunding Furies were a trio of mystical women living in Los Angeles, being depicted as powerful beings who cast the anti-demon-violence spell on Lorne's bar, Caritas. When Angel needs the spell removed to fight Gunn's rogue former gang, who have taken the bar hostage- the spell not negating human violence-, the Furies tell Cordelia that they will require 'payment' for such an act, and only Angel is 'equipped' to repay the debt, implying a past sexual relationship between the Furies and Angel. It is unclear how this ties in with Angel's curse as it is clear that both Angel and Faith believe that such an act would cause Angel to loose his soul.
