The Rule of Silence is a prose short story of Tales of the Slayer book series. Written by Kara Dalkey, it was originally published on November 1, 2004 by Simon Pulse.

Summary[edit | edit source]

The Slayer, Esperanza de la Vega, is a Marrano living in 15th century Spain and in the eyes of the Catholic church this makes her a heretic. Esperanza undergoes the trials of the Tento di Cruciamentum at the hands of the Tribunal of the Inquisition.
