Angel helps a reluctant Kate with a crime and finds her father at one crime scene in which Angel thinks that Trevor Lockley is in league with a group of vampire drug smugglers selling drugs to derelict demons. But when Trevor is betrayed and murdered, an angry and grief stricken Kate takes it out on Angel. Meanwhile, Angel finds himself haunted by his past when in a flashback to 1753 Galway, Ireland shows him as the drunkard Liam, at odds with his overbearing and domineering father. Which takes a turns when Liam is bitten by the vampire Darla, and returns from the dead as the vampire Angelus, and kills his father and entire family.
