Template:Angelepisode The Price is episode 19 of season 3 of the television show Angel, and is the 63rd episode overall. Written by David Fury and directed by Marita Grabiak, it was originally broadcast on April 29, 2002 on the WB network.

While Angel tries to deal with the loss of his son, the hotel is invaded by lobster sized, transparent, centipede-like creatures that invade and dry up their human hosts. The parasites are apparently the by-products of the dark magics that Angel conjured to try to find his son. As a result, Angel, Cordelia, Groosalugg, Gunn, Lorne, and Fred become trapped within the massive building to prevent the creatures from escaping into the world. But when Fred herself becomes infected, Gunn is forced to slip out of the building and turn to the angry and reclusive Wesley for help. Wesley tells Gunn that the only reason he forced himself to live after getting his throat cut by Justine was because he wanted to explain to his friends why he kidnapped Connor. Wesley agrees to help Gunn only after learning of Fred's infection, and he tosses Gunn a bottle of alcohol. During the fighting, Angel learns from a possessed Fred about a prophecy where a vicious killer, called the Destroyer, is coming into the world. Meanwhile, at Wolfram & Hart, Lilah and Gavin once again quarrel with each other over their handling of Angel and whether to help him or not. Angel decides to take a chance and have the others escape to take Fred to a hospital while he and Cordelia continue to fight off the creatures in the kitchen. At the lobby, Gunn arrives and forces Fred to drink the alcohol given to him by Wesley, which causes her to expel the creature that infected her. Cordelia grabs one of the creatures in her hand, and her body begins to glow with a bright, mystical light until it envelops the entire hotel, killing all of the creatures. As team Angel celebrates their victory in the lobby, Fred suddenly warns them that the Destroyer is arriving at that moment. A huge demonic beast materializes in the lobby, but before it attacks them, another being appears in ragged clothes, kills the beast and points a multi-barreled weapon strapped to his wrist at Angel. It is his son Connor, now a teenager.
