Summary[]
Pauline Francis Bernard is passing herself off as a man under the name of Frankie Massey, in order to enlist in the Union army. Her Watcher is long dead, and a new Watcher arrives in her division in search of the Slayer. Her general has secretly known that Frankie is a woman, but wants her on his side. He devises a plan to exterminate the vampires plaguing the war-torn South, and allows the Watcher and Frankie to go their own way.
