Changes: Mistress

The Mistress was a siren in charge of a pack residing in San Francisco, whose members used a hypnotizing song to lure and devour males customers, like Xander Harris and the vampire Spike, into bars and clubs. However, the two men, partially saved by the ghost of Anya Jenkins, succeeded in freeing themselves of their bewitchment. While the she sent her minions to fight the two, the Mistress fled from the scene.

Following the fight, Spike and Xander told the story to inspector Robert Dowling who notified his department to keep an eye on her. At Buffy's request, D'Hoffryn tried to magically locate her. However, the Mistress also had magical protection and then made a pact with the Soul Glutton and a mysterious demon named The Sculptor in order to prevent the Slayer Buffy Summers and D'Hoffryn from changing the rules of magic with the Slayer Handbook. They planned to open all interdimensional portals to allow the native demons to invade the Earth. When D'Hoffryn killed her two co-conspirators, the Mistress attempted to strike a deal with the lower being, only to be burnt to death.

Behind The Scenes

She is also very similar to Ursula, the sea witch and main villain from the 1989 Disney movie The Little Mermaid.
