Fred, these techno-mystical hybrids are a complicated affair.
Wesley Wyndam-Pryce[src]

Techno-mystical hybrids were devices that merged magic with technology.

HistoryEdit

Several of Warren Mears' creations fused magic and technology, such as an Invisibility Ray;[1] a Freeze Ray;[2] a small microchip capable of slowing time;[3] and a Cerebral Dampener, which stripped the will of any female within its range, rendering her a slave;[4]

When Angel Investigations took over Wolfram & Hart, Winifred Burkle experimented with such devices, creating a neural-intercept grenade for Angel to test out against the Thraxis Demon. However, due to a faulty trigger mechanism, the grenade failed to operate, forcing Angel to kill the Thraxis with his bare hands[5].

The Pandora Project tested various animals, weaponizing them with robotics and the mystic energy drained from of supernatural folks (demons, vampires, witches) in the Safe Zone. The magic was applied on battle suits and drones, but eventually animals and even humans, such as Rudy Diaz, combining biology, sorcery, and technology[6].
