Is there any relevant source that names the shop as "The Magic Box" instead of just "Magic Box"? All I've found was the phone book advertisement with a tiny "the" in the corner. Meanwhile, the entrance sign of the shop itself doesn't include the article, and there are the following quotes from the show:

  • Giles: "Magic Box, your one-stop spot to shop for—" (episode "Shadow")
  • Nigel: "Magic Box shoppers, we're going to have to ask you to leave." (episode "Checkpoint")
  • Willow: "You used a Magic Box supplier?" (episode "Bargaining, Part One")
  • Buffy: "Hello, Magic Box." (episode "Smashed")

It seems like another case in which, just because a name is often mentioned preceded by a certain article, some may have thought the article was part of the name (the Sex Pistols vs. The Clash). I intend to move the page to simply "Magic Box" and use it as such from now on, but let me know if anyone disagrees.
