Alcoholism[]

Okay, I know Lorne is technically immune to the effects of alcohol, but he is still almost always seen drinking or requesting a drink. Therefore, can we classify him as an alcoholic?

Um, no. Drinking a lot doesn't necessarily make someone an alcoholic (especially if they're of a fictional race who are immune to it's effects) and Lorne has never been referred to as an alcoholic in the series (as far as I can remember). It would be sheer speculation. Paul730 19:04, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

in my eyes he isn't an alchoholic, as he is drinking seabreeze like we had drinked coke or something like thatFaustfan 02:17, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Lorne and the Powers That Be[]

In Birthday, somewhere around 15 minutes, Angel says that Lorne has a connection with the Powers That Be. Maybe I'm slipping, but I can't remember that being mentioned on the show before. Maybe it was during the three episodes in Pylea, which I refuse to watch because they are so awful. Can somebody clue me in on this? At any rate, if he does have such a connection, shouldn't it be mentioned on the wiki page?

Name move[]

I'm not sure I agree with the recent name change. I think "Lorne" is less of a nickname, and more of a new name he chose upon entering Earth's dimension. For the same reason we have Anya under Anya Jenkins, I think this page should be "Lorne"; they had given names that they still responded to (Anyanka, Krevlornswath), but have pretty clearly chosen these new names as their alias and it's this second name that their friends and colleagues use to refer to them. The same can be said of Angel and Spike as well.--OzzMan 14:14, December 8, 2011 (UTC)

well, in the case of Anya, Anya Jenkins is her "legal" name. I moved it because the proper names coem before nicknames (like Alexander Harris and Winifred Burkle). In cases of vamps its different because Spike or Angel are their "vampire names".
Hey OzzMan, isn't her "given name" actually Aud? DinoSlider 04:29, December 12, 2011 (UTC)
Yeah, it's definitely a confusing area, which is why I said I wasn't sure, rather than stating that I'm outright opposed. I thought it warranted some discussion, which has now been accomplished. I thought more on it the other day and came to the conclusion that it's hard to discern a nickname from a chosen persona when the name is an obvious takeoff of one's actual name, so I may have just been splitting hairs in this case,--OzzMan 09:40, December 12, 2011 (UTC)
