Tales of the Vampires, Part Five is the fifth and final issue of the Tales of the Vampires miniseries. It contains a frame story of same title, as well as the short stories "Some Like It Hot" and "Numb". It was originally published on April 28, 2004 by Dark Horse Comics.

Synopsis[edit | edit source]
Joss Whedon wraps up his Tales of the Vampires series, finally revealing the truth behind the young Watchers' training program and their introduction to their ancient vampire tutor. Brett Matthews (Spiderman/Wolverine) returns with a story of Buffy's favorite vampire — Angel.[1]
Continuity[edit | edit source]
- With the appearance of the Giles' Bakery, it's revealed that Edna Fairweather is Rupert Giles's grandmother, future wife of the Baker's boy. She wonders about their future grandchildren, which she indeed had with him.
- In episode "Never Kill a Boy on the First Date", Rupert indeed mentions his grandmother had been a Watcher. Edna appears again, but as an adult, in Women of a Certain Age and "Death and Consequences" flashbacks.
