Steven S. DeKnight is a writer and director whose work includes Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel episodes and comics. He also served as a story editor for the sixth season of Buffy, and co-producer, producer, and supervising producer for the last two seasons of Angel.

Biography

In addition to Buffy and Angel, DeKnight has written for the television series Undressed (1999–2001), Smallville (2004–2007), Dollhouse (2009), Spartacus (2010–2013), Daredevil (2015), and the film Pacific Rim: Uprising (2018). His directing credits also include Smallville, Dollhouse, Daredevil, and Pacific Rim: Uprising.

DeKnight appears in the Angel DVD featurettes "Season 4 Overview", "Angel & the Apocalypse", and "The Final Season"; as well as the Buffy featurettes "Season 5 Overview" and "Season 6 Overview".

Having debuted in comics in 2007 with Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight, DeKnight has also written the Spartacus: Blood and Sand issue #1: Upon the Sands of Vengeance (2009).
