"Spike vs. Dracula, Part Three" is a Spike story that takes place across centuries focusing on the long-running rivalry between Spike and Dracula.

The Story So Far

In 1898, Spike, Dru and Darla wiped out the gypsy tribe who had cursed Angel…a tribe that was much beloved of Count Dracula. Thhis action sparked an enmity between Dracula and Angel's clan and particular hostility between Dracula and Spike…especially after Dracula tossed Spike’s newly purchased first edition copy of Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” onto a fire. Because of this, Spike contends that Dracula owes him eleven pounds for the cost of the book, a complaint that carried over to their confrontation in 1930s Hollywood during a live performance of the play “Dracula” starring Bela Lugosi. Narrowly thwarting the Count’s attempt to kill Lugosi, Spike believed Dracula to have died in a fiery airplane crash. Meanwhile, Darla has taken up residence in Berlin and keeps in touch with her “family” via post, uncaring that the climate in Germany is becoming extremely unstable.

Synopsis

With Darla a prisoner of the Third Reich, Spike must become an agent of Hitler and help deliver gypsy tribes into the hands of the Nazis–forcing our vampire hero into an unlikely and uneasy alliance with his foremost rival, Dracula.
