Spike is an comic book limited series from IDW Publishing. A spin-off from IDW's Angel comic, it also follows three Spike miniseries (Asylum, Shadow Puppets, and After the Fall.) The series is written by Brian Lynch and drawn by Franco Urru. This series is set after Angel #38 and Angel: Illyria and will lead into Spike's appearance in Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight #35. This series became an 8-issue limited series from an ongoing series when it was announced that Dark Horse would receive Angel and Spike´s rights back, releasing their own comics. Franco Urru was originally meant to work on all of the 8 issues; however, due to personal problems, he was unable to. However, he returned for the last issue.
