A Slod Demon was a human-like species of demon. They sloughed each month, leaving behind green slimy skin in the process. They were known for collecting rare organs, like the heart of a vampire. They also seemed capable of telling vampires from humans.
Dr. Gregson was a Slod demon.[1]
