Skip is a demon supposedly at the service of the The Powers That Be. He was played by David Denman.

Skip is first seen in the season three episode "That Vision Thing". Skip's second appearance is in the episode "Birthday," where he informs Cordelia that she will die if she continues receiving visions from the Powers.

Powers

Skip possesses superhuman strength and an impenetrable chitinous exoskeleton that makes him impervious to most forms of physical harm.

Various Roles

In "That Vision Thing", Skip apparently serves as the guardian to the hell dimension that Billy Blim is imprisoned in (i.e., a supernatural box of fire). He allows himself to be beaten by Angel in a fight so Billy can be rescued.

In "Birthday" he takes up his role as Cordelia's guide, changing her destiny so she temporarily lives her "what-might-have-been" life as a famous TV star, in an apparent effort to prevent the Visions from killing her. This tactic, however, does not work; instead, Skip makes Cordelia part-demon per her decision. Skip appears to continue in this guide role in "Tomorrow" by assisting Cordelia in her ascension to the higher plane(s).

In "Inside Out" it is revealed that Skip actually works for the entity that would come to be known as Jasmine. Angel returns to Skip's dimension and fights Skip again, bringing the chitinous demon back to our dimension. Team Angel then questions Skip, discovering the truth about the events leading up to Jasmine's birth. He is killed by Wesley, who fires a bullet into a wound previously created by Angel. Gunn and Wesley later dismember his corpse with a buzz saw in the basement of the Hyperion Hotel.
