Silas was a male demon of an unnamed species and the leading priest of the Covenant of Trombli, making him the de facto ruler of Pylea. He attempted to kill all of the human slaves of Pylea during a rebellion with a device, but was decapitated by Cordelia Chase who had grown sick of him. One of the rebels confirmed decapitation would kill him (Cordelia asked because it was not enough to kill Lorne) and Cordelia freed all of Pylea's human slaves.
