Template:Article "Shadow" is the eighth episode of season 5 of the television show Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Joyce has been diagnosed with Oligodendroglioma, a low-grade form of glioma, which is a brain tumor. Buffy is worried about her mother's diagnosis, and Dawn's ability to handle the bad news. Meanwhile, Glory visits Giles new shop and purchases two items that are essential to summoning an evil snake. She intends to summon this snake for the purpose of finding the key. After the purchase, Anya notices the purchase on the register log, and proceeds to call Giles stupid. Spike also was caught in the act of sniffing Buffy's apparel. Riley also feels left out of Buffy's world, and permits Sandy to take a bite at his neck. He unexpectedly stabs Sandy with a stake, killing her.
Quotes and trivia
- This episode sees the death of Sandy - a vampire whom "Evil Willow" sired in Season Three's "Doppelgängland".
