"Season Eleven" is a twelve issue comic book meta-series from Dark Horse Comics, which began to be published on November 23, 2016. Joss Whedon continues to serve as an executive producer for the meta-series. The story is a direct continuation of Season Ten. Like Season Eight, Nine and Ten, Season Eleven is the canonical continuation of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.[1][2]

Joss Whedon will be co-writing a Dark Horse miniseries about Giles (currently de-aged to 13) going back to school. "In a fit of class, I'm not calling it '21 Vamp Street,'" Whedon said.[3]

Joss Whedon also confirmed that a new Angel comic book series will be published, but this time without Faith.[4] Angel Season 11 will consist of twelve issues, the first of which went on sale January 18, 2017.[5]

Synopsis

Buffy the Vampire Slayer has been saving the world from demons and forces of darkness on a regular basis since she was a teenager. Alongside her vampire boyfriend Spike; her best friends, Wiccan Willow Rosenberg and normal guy Xander Harris; her sister Dawn; and her formerly old but now magically reborn as a thirteen-year-old mentor Giles, Buffy has found nothing they can't face together... But the world hasn't stopped throwing new challenges their way.
