Scott Gurney is an actor who portrayed Kevin Benedict on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer television series.

Career[]

Gurney has created several television series documentaries and unscripted/reality TV programming, including Auction Hunters, Haunted Collector, Speed of Life, and American Guns. He is also well known for producing several Shark Week specials for Discovery Channel, including Killer Sharks: The Attacks of Black December, How Sharks Hunt, Shark City, Shark Attack Survival Guide, and Great White Appetite.

Prior to starting his production company, Gurney Productions, Inc., Gurney was a competitive athlete who won the NCAA Division III Men's Soccer National Championship in 1990. He began modelling for catalog retailer International Male in San Diego, then modeled for Calvin Klein and Polo Sport.

In addition to Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Gurney appeared on the television shows 7th Heaven, Baywatch, Cybill, Step by Step, Push, and Married... with Children. He has also appeared in several NBC movies of the week and was the host of the reality television series Hotlines.

Gurney portrayed Cordelia's boyfriend Kevin Benedict in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer season 1 finale "Prophecy Girl."
