Ratio Hornblower was one of a few demons who took the form of puppets in order to take over a local children's television show.
In contrast to the rest of his gang, Ratio was a full-bodied costume puppet who spoke only in a series of squeaks. Presumably the most mystically savvy of the group, Ratio perfected the Nest Egg system that served as their energy conduit for sucking the life force out of children.
He met his demise at the hands of Winifred Burkle and Wesley Wyndam-Pryce who shot and dismembered the puppet, respectively.[1]
Behind the Scenes
- Ratio's name is a reference to fictional Royal Navy officer Horatio Hornblower.
- In the non-canonical Spike: Shadow Puppets, Ratio actually survived and hooked up with a the Japanese branch of the Smile Time gang who planned to take their efforts to a global level.[2]
