Ngaio was a Slayer activated in New Zealand in 2003 with Willow Rosenberg's Slayer activation spell.[1]
Biography[]
Ngaio was called in 2003 at seventeen years old after Willow performed a spell that activated multiple Slayers worldwide. She lived in a Māori village with her family and had never left New Zealand until she joined other Slayers, seeing a dozen cities in Australia, Europe, Asia, and America.[1]
Ngaio was involved in a car accident while traveling with her Slayer sisters Adrianna, Zamira, Mai, and Dori from Boston to Providence after a rendezvous in Paris. She noticed various demons running from the trees after their SUV, and a Fyarl demon standing on the road caused Dori to swerve and flip the car with the rain.[1]
Vahrall demons ripped the car open and rescued the unconscious Slayers, and a Miquot warned Ngaio that Slayers, except for Buffy Summers, should stay away from Providence during the Dark Congress. Soon after, a man stopped his car and helped the Slayers by calling the police and an ambulance on his cell phone.[1]
