Natalie French was a retired teacher from Sunnydale whose identity was stolen by the She-Mantis.[1]
Biography[]
Ms. French was born in 1907 and taught high school biology for over thirty years before retiring in 1972.[1]
In 1997, the She-Mantis stole her identity and used her personnel records to substitute biology at Sunnydale High School. Buffy Summers and Rupert Giles visited the address from her records, expecting to confront the She-Mantis. However, when the elderly woman opened the door and explained she was long since retired from education, Giles realized this was a dead end and the woman had fallen victim to identity theft.[1]
