Ms. Moran was a Sunnydale High teacher.
She taught Buffy Summers "Contemporary American Heroes" where Buffy sat on the second row third from the front of her class, claiming it was "the class that changed my life". She came to Moran in hopes of gaining a letter of recommendation, as Buffy considered Moran to be her favorite teacher, and Buffy was not allowed to receive one from an "English librarian".
Unfortunately, Ms. Moran could not remember who Buffy was, which was possibly because of Buffy's absences in classes the previous year.
