Maclay was the father of Tara and Donald Maclay and the patriarch of the Maclay family.[1]
Biography[]
He deceived both his late wife and his daughter into believing that they were part demon, allowing him greater control over them. But his lie was exposed when he attempted to take Tara home and away from the Scooby Gang.[1]
After he was unable to provide any of them with a satisfactory explanation for what kind of demon Tara would become or why she would have been dangerous, Spike — who had been implanted with a chip that prevented him from hurting humans — punched Tara, the resulting pain both experienced confirming that Tara was human.[1]
