- “I represent a relatively new agency, Demon Research Initiative. And we think that you might be the solution to our little problem.”
- ―Mr. Fury to Angel[src]
Mr. Fury was an agent of the United States government and representative of the Demon Research Initiative in 1942. Alongside Commander Petrie, Mr. Fury forcibly recruited Angel to retrieve a German U-Boat that had been taken over by a group of vampires.
Behind the Scenes
- He was portrayed by Scott Klace.
- His last name and status as a member of a secret government agency is clearly inspired by Marvel's Nick Fury. Coincidentally, Joss Whedon later went on to direct Fury, portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson, in the first two Avengers ensemble films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
- His name is presumably also in reference to David Fury, just as Commander Petrie's is to Douglas Petrie.
