Mike Conley was a United States Senatorial candidate and a rival of Helen Brucker. He served in the Gulf War where he received the Bronze star.
However, his campaign was ruined when Angel used Wolfram & Hart's resources to brainwash him into becoming a pedophile as part of his plan to infiltrate and destroy the Circle of the Black Thorn. His plan succeeded and Brucker was killed by Charles Gunn during the following attack on the Circle.
