Micaela Tomasi was a Watcher and former double agent for the Sons of Entropy.[1]

Biography[]

Micaela was the adopted daughter of Fulcanelli, the leader of the Sons of Entropy. She served as a double agent within the Watchers Council for the Sons. As a result of being raised by Fulcanelli, Micaela developed tremendous magical powers. Micaela eventually turned against her father and assisted in his defeat by the Scooby Gang, after which she returned to England.[1]

For her crimes, Micaela was sentenced to ten years imprisonment, which she was forced to serve in solitary confinement due to her magical abilities. She likely would've been killed if Rupert Giles hadn't reported on her aid against Fulcanelli. During her imprisonment, many members of the Council approached Micaela in private in the hopes of bribing her into goosing their private personal gain or threatening her into it, but she was able to deflect them with what amounted to parlor tricks when compared with the powerful magics at her disposal. With time, much that she had been taught and repressed began to return to her as well.[2]

Lord Anthony Yorke approached Micaela for help with locating four magical objects for him, promising to release her if she did so. By threatening Giles' life, Yorke had Micaela successfully find all four axes in Sunnydale for him. She then tricked Yorke into giving her information, killed him, and enlisted the help of Neema Mfune-Hayes to stop Cecile Lafitte's plan. Flying to Sunnydale through a storm, Micaela managed to contact Giles telepathically and help him figure out what to do to defeat the Gatherer. She and Neema then joined in on the ritual along with Buffy and her allies.[2]

In the next year, Micaela was working again as a Watcher in the Council. Against the wishes of Quentin Travers, she informed Giles of the truth behind the death of his mentor, Archibald Lassiter. Micaela then assisted Giles in locating and destroying the Key of Amonrhatna, the artifact responsible for Lassiter's and many other Watcher's deaths.[3]
