Marya Bajdek was a Potential Slayer living in Warsaw, Poland, in 1940.
Biography[]
Marya was the fourth to be hunted by Spike and Drusilla in an accord with Skrymir, the vampires having found her name in the Watchers Council's list of known Slayers-in-Waiting and their respective watchers.
She was killed in June 16, 1940, at the age of eleven. Her watcher, Jozeff Strakus, who survived the vampire’s attack with a broken arm, dragged her body half a mile to get her out of the filthy street, and avoid that the dogs got to her corpse. After he finally sent for help, Jozeff sat and cried as he stroked Marya’s brown hair.[1]
