Malik was a vampire with long black hair, full body tattoos. Like Scylla, he was skilled in basic magic, and could change his shape. His alternate form was a were-sabertooth tiger. He could also teleport short range.
He and his lover Scylla were recruited by Spike when he reformed the Order of Aurelius. He stole a book on resurrection from Rupert Giles's collection and escaped through a skylight when Buffy Summers entered the room. Buffy's then encountered him trying to place a bomb in the boiler room of Sunnydale High. She stopped the bomb and came face to face with him in the school's quad. Already mad at the death of his girlfriend at the hands of the slayer, he turned into a were-sabertooth tiger and attacked. She was able to beat him down despite the disorientation caused by his rapid teleportation powers. She threw a stake into his heart and left him for dead. Surprisingly, he attacks her in the back, but luckily she was saved by none other than Spike! Spike kills him with a bolt to the head and tells the slayer that he wants to change sides.[1]
