Magic Town

Magic Town was the nickname given to an area of Hackney, London. It became known as Magic Town following the release of a magical plague, which transformed many citizens into supernatural creatures,^[1]^[2] effectively becoming a ghetto for these mutated people.^[3] The magical essence empowering the area^[4] remained unique even after the restoration of magic; it was self-aware^[5] and sentient,^[6] and could act on its own accord.^[7]

Magic Town was the location of Nadira Kureishi's shelter, Angel's apartment, and Rory's Pub.^[8] In his attempt to take over the place, Archaeus established his lair just outside the northern border of Magic Town.^[9]
