Magic Box

Magic Box Exterior.

The Magic Box is a magic shop located on Maple Court in Sunnydale last owned and operated by Rupert Giles. When Giles left Sunnydale to return to England Anya Jenkins became the manager with Giles remaining a silent partner.

History

Uncle Bob's Magic Cabinet

In Season 3 and 4 the shop was known as Uncle Bob's Magic Cabinet. Some time after Hush and before Real Me the shop was expanded and renamed the Magic Box.

We saw Uncle Bob's Magic Cabinet in Lovers Walk and The Zeppo and it's appeared in other episodes. The store's shopping bags have also appeared in various episodes.

The shop went through a series of owners, many of whom met grisly deaths at the hands of Sunnydale's demonic residents.

The Magic Box

In "Real Me", Rupert Giles bought the Magic Box after the death of it's previous owner, soon after opening, Anya Jenkins became a full time employee. For a brief period, Buffy Summers also worked part time for The Magic Shop[1] but found that she was not cut out for such employment.

The Magic Box was destroyed after Willow Rosenberg, crazed by magic, sucked its contents dry and then fought a vicious battle with Giles within it in Grave. Its exterior was last seen in Same Time, Same Place.
