Levitation was the ability to defy gravity by moving or staying in suspension above ground level. It could be considered as a subcategory or one of many methods of achieving flight.
Certain demons naturally had this ability[1][2][3][4][5] while some magic practitioners could achieve this in one of the basic steps in witchcraft.[6]
There was an event in the history of witchcraft referred to as "The Age of Levitation."[7]
