Krevlornswath "Lorne" of the Deathwok Clan was an exiled demon from Pylea[1] living in Los Angeles in 2022 as a member of Angel Investigations in a universe parallel to the universe without shrimp.[2]

Biography[]

Lorne was born as Krevlornswath of the Deathwok Clan in the demonic dimension of Pylea. However, his different interests and personality made him an outsider and led his people to banish him from his dimension, stranding him in Los Angeles. Lorne remained bitter and upset about this, claiming he only called L.A. his home because he had no other choice and wanted to avoid drawing attention to himself.[1]

Lorne eventually joined the Angel Investigations agency at the Hyperion Hotel with Angel, Cordelia, Andrew, Spike, Gunn, Fred, and Wesley.[2] During their adventures, they traveled back to Pylea, where they met the Groosalugg, who became a friend of the group, and fought the demon Lanugo. Lorne and Andrew especially became close friends, often watching films and television series together.[1]

One day, while Lorne watched with Andrew the show Cordi, which starred their friend Cordelia, Daniel "Oz" Osbourne paid them a visit in the Hyperion, naked and covered in blood.[2] They let him get a shower, and Andrew mentioned he knew Oz from Sunnydale High School. Oz explained that he was a werewolf, which angered Lorne and caused him to head downstairs. He discovered that Angel had been trapped in a spirit house and explained how the spirit house originated from Pylea, which helped Wesley narrow down a specific book he could use to free Angel. However, Angel was freed in miniaturized form due to the different magical dimensions of the house, and a later spell also freed the sorrow demon held within the house.[3]

After some research, Lorne, Andrew, and Oz figured out a way to return Angel to his normal size. However, Lorne grew angry when Oz asked if they were a couple like his versions of Lorne and Andrew, while Andrew said they just hung out. After revealing to Oz how he had been banished from his dimension, Lorne answered Andrew's request to talk to him by telling him to leave his room.[1] Lorne joined the team in trying to stop the sorrow demon, who turned out to be their old friend Groo, and Cordelia hoped she could talk him down. However, Lorne was the one able to convince the former Champion to stop his rampage, pointing out that both of them had been rejected by Pylea. Upon returning to the Hyperion, Lorne apologized to Andrew.[4]

Lorne helped put out the fire Daniel Holtz had set in his attack on the Hyperion. However, he also indirectly caused Holtz and his men to escape after freeing some of the henchmen to get food.[5] One night, Lorne and Andrew were distracted from playing video games when Oz escaped his protective cell during his werewolf transformation.[6] Lorne searched and found him, leading Oz back in time for the werewolf to save the Angel Investigations team from the undead henchman Nathan, who Dr. Daedalus had sent to stop them from getting Spike's soul back, which Daedalus was slowly stealing.[7]

Together, the team attacked Daedalus's house but was interrupted by the arrival of Drusilla, who destroyed the vial containing Spike's soul, and the evil dimension-traveling Angelus arrived with a horde of vampires.[7] They escaped thanks to Oz's werewolf abilities, and Lorne headed to the Hyperion with Fred, Gunn, and Andrew to get weapons. While there, Lorne began to say something to his friend, but Andrew interrupted him and, holding Lorne's hand, said he knew and corresponded it, which made Lorne smile. The three of them soon met with the others at a graveyard, where Daedalus had resurrected the Slayer Buffy Summers and died after becoming a vampire. After Angel killed his villainous counterpart, Lorne and the rest of Angel Investigations prepared themselves to fight what remained of the vampire horde.[8]
