Terrified to return to his body in case the creature attacked him again, Billy eventually regained consciousness when Buffy - temporarily transformed into a vampire due to her nightmares - defeated the manifestation. Having regained consciousness, Billy told the authorities what had happened, and the coach was sent to jail for his attack.
