Billy Palmer's Kiddy League Coach was the man who beat him into a coma after Billy lost a game. When Billy astral projected out of his coma — bringing the nightmare world back with him — his fear of his coach manifested as a disfigured creature with massive strength and a large club-shaped arm. Terrified to return to his body in case the creature attacked him again, Billy eventually regained consciousness when Buffy — temporarily transformed into a slaypire because of her nightmares — defeated the manifestation. Having regained consciousness, Billy told the authorities what had happened, and the coach was sent to jail for his attack. He tried to flee when the Scooby Gang realized what he did, but Xander Harris and Rupert Giles apprehended him.
Behind the Scenes
- He was portrayed by Brian Pietro.
- The coach was the first purely human evil seen on the show. All previous villains were either demons, or corrupted somewhat by dark magic.
