Josh was a student in UC Sunnydale and a member of Alpha Delta. When the demon took over the Alpha Delta house and began to wreak chaos, Josh tried to run away, falling down the stairs and breaking his neck. Afterwards, Josh was raised as a zombie to taunt Buffy Summers.
