"Hunting Groun" was a trade paperback collecting issues eight and nine of the Angel comic book series as well as a three-part story from Dark Horse Comics.

Synopsis

Cordelia landed the main role in a Blair Witch type film about three filmmakers looking for the Helm of Haraxis. However the film was a sham and the Helm was the real thing; created by an ancient demon, the Helm of Haraxis gave its wearers the power to command other demons, with Cordelia and her fellow stars having been sent to the woods to bypass the Helm's demonic guardians. Having learned the truth about the Helm from an old contact of Doyle's, Angel tried to rescue Cordelia and the other filmmakers, but was only able to save Cordelia before the other two were killed by demons. However, Cordelia was then able to use the Helm against the demons who set out to acquire it for themselves, returning the Helm to its true guardians after the demon producers were killed.

Later, a murderer was leaving corpses across L.A. sewers, and the evidence found by Detective Kate Lockley suggested Angel was responsible. After investigating the sewers- including a run-in with the sewer-dwelling Abner-, Angel and Wesley learnt that the true killer was Clyde, a horned demon who gave Doyle a hard time a while back, attempting to avenge Angel's past defeat of him, subsequently being killed by Abner out of anger at Clyde bringing so much death into his home.
