History of the Axe — as a tool and weapon was a website containing information about historical axes.

In 2003, Willow Rosenberg searched online for "ancient weapons" and the first result was History of the Axe's page for the Axe of Dekeron. Beside its description of this axe, the website also listed "Battle Axe", "Black Knight's Hatchet", and "mʔ". Reading the latter, Rupert Giles concluded it might had been the name of the Slayer weapon they were researching about.[1]
