Hemery High School was a high school in Los Angeles.

History

Gary Murray was the school counselor of Hemery High. Hemery was attended by Buffy Summers. When Buffy learned that she was the Slayer, she accidentally burned down the school gym battling Lothos and his vampire minions. She was expelled shortly thereafter.^[1]

Behind the scenes

The high school is actually Courthouse Square, a backlot located at Universal Studios in Hollywood, which is most famous for appearing in the Back to the Future trilogy. In the Buffy the Vampire Slayer film, the location was provided by the John Marshall High School, at 400 Tracy Street in Los Angeles.
