Note: This article is about the e-comic. For the reality television show, see Harmony Bites.

Harmony Bites is a supplemental e-comic featured in MySpace/Dark Horse Presents #18. It is a tie-in to Buffy the Vampire Slayer Season Eight issue #21, Harmonic Divergence, in which vampire Harmony Kendall becomes the star of a reality tv show, Harmony Bites, after being photographed biting actor Andy Dick.

Plot

Do you know me?

The comic starts with Harmony introducing an episode of her show, Harmony Bites, and picks up with her interviewing for a bartending job at the House of Blues. When the interview is over Harmony is confronted outside by a vampire named Justin, whom she had sired four months prior. Resentful of his new status of undead and un-tanable he attempts to stake Harmony with a piece of whitewash picket fence. Harmony is able to reverse the attack and dusts Justin. After the dusting Harmony calls Clem, who is in the middle of a date with a fellow loose skinned demon who has had plastic surgery, for a ride home. After dropping off Clem’s date, the two go out on the town where they begin to argue about the way Harmony treats people. The issue cuts to a faux message from MTV to text in the readers thoughts on who is right, Harmony or Clem. After the “break” Harmony is seen driving Clem’s car back home and Clem waiting for a bus ride with the two sharing their thoughts on how they will settle the matter, Harmony decides just to kill Clem. When she gets home she lays in wait to drain him and Clem spends his time on the bus knitting a sweater. Clem later arrives to a darkened apartment where Harmony attempts to bite him only resulting in her getting a mouthful of knitted sweater. The two laugh at the situation and resolve their differences. The issues ends with Harmony getting her job as a bartender at the House of Blues, only to have invited a bunch of slayers for her first night.

Canonical Issues

See also: canon

This series has been described as 'canon' by both Whedon and various commentators. As the creator of Buffy, Joss Whedon's association with Buffyverse story is often linked to how canonical the various stories are. Since Whedon is writing this story, it will be seen as a continuation of the official continuity established by Buffy and Angel.

This may mean it contradicts information given in the previously released non-canonical Queen of the Slayers, and Dark Congress, which are described as being set in an unofficial "parallel continuity".

Dramatis Personae

Timing

Harmony Bites is an episode of Harmony's reality TV show, Harmony Bites set sometime during or after the events of Harmonic Divergence.
