Groxlar Beasts (or just Groxlar) were large, horned demons known for biting the heads off babies. Groxlar respected strong, incisive starts in their discussions. In battle, they could match a vampire such as Angel for a short period. When Wolfram & Hart arranged a meeting to negotiate for the clans to stop eating baby heads, Angel accidentally killed the first negotiator before he learned what the demon was there for. Charles Gunn, who had recently been endowed with legal knowledge from both human and demonic societies, hoped that Angel's strong opening would compensate for the mistake so that they could continue the negotiations.
