Greenway was a sorcerer and client of Wolfram & Hart.
In 2004, Greenway was charged with racketeering. Wolfram & Hart invested ten million dollars on bail costs and Charles Gunn promised to get him off on probation. Despite these actions, he performed a human sacrifice, killing five nuns in the process, which allowed him to escape to another dimension through a pan dimensional doorway. Greenway's actions caused Angel to get fed up with his role as Wolfram & Hart CEO and contemplate resigning until Cordelia Chase restored his faith.
