The Gorch family was a family of vampire cowboys native to Abilene, Texas.[1]
History[]
Even as humans, they were brutal murderers, having massacred a Mexican village in 1886.[1]
In 1998, Lyle and Tector Gorch arrived in Sunnydale because of it being on top of a Hellmouth. They came across the Slayer, Buffy Summers, forcing them to hide in the sewers and feed off rats. They attacked when the Bezoar had enslaved most of the students of Sunnydale High School where Tector was subsequently devoured by the beast. Despite proceeding to fight both Buffy and the possessed students, Lyle fearfully fled after witnessing Buffy kill the Bezoar.[1]
Months later, Lyle and his new wife Candy Gorch took part in SlayerFest '98 to avenge Tector's death, though only resulted in Candy being slain and Lyle, once again, fleeing out of fear.[2]
